Our Industry and Its Short History

The field of air conditioning is a broad one, however equally immature. Comparable building trades, masons, woodworker and even early irrigation systems, date back to documented history. “HVAC” conversely may be considered akin to a “toddler stage”, market commercialization emerging only early last century.

The “World’s First Scientific Air Conditioning System” at Sackett-Wilhelm Publishing Company, in Brooklyn, NY was presented by two young engineers employed by the Buffalo Forge Company, Mr. Irvine Lyle and Mr. Willis Carrier. That year was 1903, the intent - removal of humidity associated with hygroscopic lithographic materials.

As the century developed, “Comfort Demand” presented itself and commercialization of HVAC was introduced as a “ Feature” and not long there after a “necessity” - branded essential for human gathering.

The advent of this critical installed base didn’t long for the subsequent and organic demand for "Aftermarket Service and Support..."

Our Company...

In an industry that has developed as rapidly as Air Conditioning, the sectors, subjects and market focus' are nearly endless. One attempting the acquisition of skill sets to truly undertake the challenge of providing Extraordinary Performance in the “World of Air Conditioning" or even "Air Conditioning Contracting" may likely find their model - unrewarding, infinitely challenged and peppered with scant knowledge throughout an overwhelmingly broad base.

Not so much faced with this realization, but more so "embraced with" the emerging demand not only for skilled labor but a "Skilled Labor Organization”, particularly in The Applied or Engineered Systems sector of our industry, it seemed desirable to simply focus the development of this Extraordinary Performance model to – what for us has been, a focused but welcomely familiar market...The Aftermarket Large Tonnage Chiller and Steam TurboMachinery Service Business.

In the early 1990's, a small group of individuals set out to establish this targeted "model"...Industrial Cooling Air Conditioning Service, with the committed desire and intent to consistently and more-so, by no argument-provide Extraordinary Service and Performance to a select and often obscure market...New York City's Heavy Commercial Chiller and Steam Turbine Service Sector.

15 years later I am more enthused and excited about our business and industry more than I could have ever imagined. We are leaders in our sector, prioritizing training, safety, development of our strong OEM relations, customer support and support of our people...as historically and always "our Company’s greatest asset".

We assure all our associates, customers, future customers, and industry peers this same commitment in our future that has been the thoroughbred for our past...”Unarguably Extraordinary Performance”.
